Seller Agreement

This Seller Agreement applies when you open a store and list products on mọ́jà Market. It supplements, and is read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 and legally able to sell foodstuff in Nigeria.
  • You are responsible for any licences, permits, or NAFDAC registrations your products require.
  • One store per business. Submitting duplicate stores may lead to removal.

2. Listings and pricing

  • Listings must accurately describe the item, weight or unit, and price in Naira.
  • Photos must be of the actual product you sell.
  • Prices must include all costs except delivery. You may not surcharge buyers off-platform.

3. Fulfilment

  • You agree to fulfil orders promptly within your stated delivery radius and window.
  • If you cannot fulfil an order, cancel it as soon as possible so the buyer is refunded.
  • You are responsible for safe handling, packaging, and the cold chain where applicable.

4. Payouts

  • mọ́jà collects payment on your behalf via Paystack.
  • Your earnings are the order subtotal, excluding delivery fees passed through to you.
  • You can request a payout to your verified bank account from your payouts page. Requests are reviewed and paid within 3 business days.
  • We may withhold payouts where there is an open dispute, suspected fraud, or unverified bank details.

5. Buyer experience

  • Respond to buyer messages and order issues promptly.
  • Honour the Refund & Return Policy for items that are missing, wrong, or spoiled on arrival.
  • Repeated complaints, late fulfilment, or low ratings may result in suspension.

6. Prohibited items

You may not list expired goods, counterfeit products, alcohol without the appropriate licence, controlled substances, or anything illegal under Nigerian law.

7. Data

You will receive the buyer's name, phone, address, and order items in order to fulfil their order. You may only use this information to fulfil that order and may not market to the buyer without their consent.

8. Termination

Either party may end this Agreement at any time. mọ́jà may remove a store immediately for serious or repeated violations. On termination, any pending payouts owed to you will be processed after open disputes are resolved.
