Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of mọ́jà Market ("mọ́jà", "we", "us"), a marketplace that connects buyers in Nigeria with independent foodstuff sellers. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use mọ́jà

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Nigerian law. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your sign-in credentials confidential.

2. The role of mọ́jà

mọ́jà is a marketplace. Each store is operated by an independent seller who is solely responsible for the products listed, the quality and packaging of goods, fulfilment, and delivery within their stated radius. mọ́jà facilitates discovery, ordering, payment, and communication between buyers and sellers.

3. Orders and payment

• Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include applicable taxes unless stated.
• Payments are processed by Paystack; mọ́jà does not store full card details.
• A successful payment confirms your order. The seller is then notified to prepare and deliver it.
• Delivery fees are set by each store and shown at checkout.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• List or order goods that are illegal under Nigerian law.
• Misrepresent who you are, your address, or your payment details.
• Attempt to interfere with the platform, scrape it, or abuse other users.

5. Account suspension

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, file fraudulent disputes, or repeatedly cancel without cause. Sellers may be removed for misrepresenting products, repeated cancellations, or failure to fulfil paid orders.

6. Refunds and returns

Refunds and returns are governed by our Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, mọ́jà is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. Continued use of mọ́jà after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
